On Sundays, I love to rent a boat with friends or family and go sailing. In the harbour of Cala d’or there are plenty of boat rentals, so it is easy to compare and start the day from here.

My last Sunday on the island was a wonderful day, just like a Sunday should be. We started the day with food at Waves, a nice lunch bar in the harbour of Cala dor. We come here often but never enough. Delicious sandwiches and juices make sure you start your day right.

Once inside the boat, we love to sail towards Cala Mondrago. This is a beautiful nature reserve with a lot of inviting beaches to visit, you could spend the whole day here. We often moor the boat, drink a sangria on the beach and get some tapas for take away. My favourite are the nacho bowls with home-made guacamole, but we also like to share some smaller tapas for on the boat. The day cannot get any better.

With the sun going down and good music on, we made our way back to the harbour of Cala d’or, where great places were waiting for us to have dinner. We ended up at restaurant Diferent, my all-time favourite, for a delicious steak and the most fancy dessert ever.

While writing this blog, I think of all the memories I have of my perfect Sundays on the island. I’ll cherish them all my life…
